Details
Our EVEN led strip has 17W/m and has 240 led circuits on a meter. This makes the light very even. When installed on a profile, there are no visible dots to be seen, just even light. On our EVEN led strip, we use SMD 3528 led circuit with the high CRI 97. This light does not have a green nor yellow tint, but a very natural look. The led strip is dimmable and suitable for indoor use (IP21, no bathrooms!). Led strip 17W/m is equivalent to 120cm fluorocent tube, so you'll even save energy!
You can select from two light colours; 3000K, warm white (similar to halogen colour) and a bit more modern, neutral white colour 4000K.
Installation
LED strip comes in a 5m roll that can be cut to measure in every 2,5cm (marked). We recommend that you solder the wanted lengths together as we have noticed that the fast clips tend to loosen after few years and then the light starts flickering. There are plugs soldered to both ends of the strip that you can use, but it depends a lot of your desired use if you should use them or not. We will help you to figure out that.
Due to the led circuits are closely layed we have noticed and strongly recommend you to feed the power from both ends of the strip. This way you minimize the voltage drop and ensure that the whole strip illuminates even if there occurs light breaks during the assembly or during use. Please note that the actual energy consumption of this strip is 20 W/m. So the driver needs to be big enough, for example for a 5 meters of led strip the need is minimum a 100W driver.
All installations should be made on aluminium (ie. aluminium profile), that way the excess heat gets conducted away from led circuit and makes it last longer. The led strip uses 3M tape that you can attach the strip to the profile firmly. You can order aluminium profile from our web shop.
LED strip works well with solar power and in boats, as long as your system is 24VDC (so you don't need a driver).
Remember to order a driver unless it is for a boat or with solar power of 24VDC.
Dimming
With led strips you can use either normal rotatable dimmers or our wireless VaLO dimmer products. Wireless dimmers (secondary side dimming) are a perfect solution in places where you have power for the led strip but no wall swich ready. With this system, you just hook the wireless receiver between led strip and driver and have the push button were ever you like. The push button is wireless and battery operated (battery can be changed). If you want to use rotatable wall dimmers (primary side dimming), you need to select a dimmable (for example TRIAC) driver for your led strip.
Create a light of your own
Why would you use led strip only in traditional way (cabinets, indirect light etc.) when you can make a light of almost anything. Old cart wheel, zink bucket or even a wooden boat turns in to a light when you put led strip inside of it! Get creative!
Strip should ALWAYS be installed on aluminium profile for the led strip to cool down properly. Incorrect installation will void warranty.

In addition with led strip you need also driver / s and aluminium profile.
