Our PEARLY led strip has 14,4W/m and has 60 led circuits on a meter. When used as indirect light, gives out even light. On our PEARLY led strip, we use SMD 5050 led circuit with the CRI over 90. The led strip is dimmable and for indoor use (IP21). Led strip 14,4W/m is equivalent to 120cm fluorocent tube, so you'll even save energy!
You can select from two light colours; near halogen colour is 3000K, warm white and a bit more modern, neutral white colour is 4000K.
LED strip comes in a 5m roll that can be cut to measure in every 5cm (marked). We recommend that you solder the wanted lengths together as we have noticed that the fast clips tend to loosen after few years and then the light starts flickering. There are plugs ready on both ends of the strip that you can use, but it depends a lot of your desired use if you should use them or not. We will help you to figure that out.
If you have more than 5m of strip, we recommend you to feed the power from both ends to minimize the powerloss. All installations should be made on aluminium (ie. aluminium profile), that way the excess heat gets conducted away from led circuit and makes it last longer. The led strip uses 3M tape that you can attach the strip to the profile firmly. You can order aluminium profile from our web shop.
LED strip works well with solar power and in boats, as it is 12VDC, so you might not even need a driver!
Remember to order a driver unless it is for a boat or with solar power 12VDC.
With led strips you can use either normal rotatable dimmers or wireless dimmer. Wireless dimmers (secondary side dimming) are a perfect solution in places where you have power for the led strip but no wall swich ready. With this system, you just hook the wireless receiver between led strip and driver and have the push button were ever you like. The push button is wireless and battery operated (battery can be changed). If you want to use rotatable wall dimmers (primary side dimming), you need to select a dimmable (for example TRIAC) driver for your led strip.
Create a light of your own
Why would you use led strip only in traditional way (cabinets, indirect light etc.) when you can make a light of almost anything. Old cart wheel, zink bucket or even a wooden boat turns in to a light when you put led strip inside it! Get creative!
